What Causes Someone to Sweat? Is it the Pituitary Gland?
Sweat’s main function is to regulate your body temperature. Sweat naturally cools your body down when needed — like when working out or spending time in the sun — so you don’t overheat. When sweat reaches your skin, it evaporates, and this process cools your skin and the tissues underneath. The process of sweating helps keep your body temperature at just the right level — not too hot and not too cold. This is typically around 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. A part of your brain called the hypothalamus is responsible for regulating body temperature, and making sure you don’t get too hot. If it senses you are, it sends signals to your sweat glands telling them to start producing sweat.

The Band “Cinderella”
During this episode, Chris references the band “Cinderella”. Cinderella was an American rock band formed in the suburbs of Philadelphia in 1983. They initially had a glam metal sound throughout the late 1980s before shifting into a more blues rock-based sound during the early to mid 1990s. They had several multi-platinum studio albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation and popularity. The band went on a brief hiatus in 1995 after lead singer Tom Keifer suffered from vocal cord paresis, which led to a delay in the recording and release of the band's fourth album and consequently being dropped from their record label. The band had periods of hiatus from 1996 through 2014, when they finally called it quits for good after playing their final shows of the 2014 Monsters of Rock cruise. A playlist of their most popular tracks, including the song Chris mentioned “Nobody’s Fool” can be found here.
